General News

* There will be a business meeting this Sunday (Nov.20) right after church.
* ANC is having a family gym night  tomorrow night at MEI Elementary School from 7:00-9:00. The gates in front of the Elementary school on Downes road will be open.  Feel free to bring a munchie to share.  See you ALL there!

* On December 9th ANC will be hosting its annual Christmas Banquet. This year it will be held at Cascade Community Church on Delair. We have the privilege of having Shane Wiebe entertain us again this year. Tickets are $22.50 each. Please speak with Barb or Eric Wanamaker to purchase tickets.

Women’s Ministry
*We are in the middle of another wonderful season of Boot Camp! Our meeting times are Monday and Thursday from 7:00pm-8:00pm at Auguston Traditional Gym. 

* Praise God for another amazing Women’s Retreat at Cedar Springs!

Missions
* This Christmas season ANC is taking part in donating to Food For the Hungry. There will be a “barnyard” set up and families will be encouraged to purchase animals for families in need. Please visit the FH website for more information. http://www.fh.org/

General News
* One of the care groups is planning a family gym night on Thursday November 17th at MEI Elementary School, and has invited the whole church to be a part of it! More details to follow!

* Church Directory – I am putting together our 2012 Church directory. For the remaining Sundays in October, I will have a sheet for you to fill in your contact information. I would also like to include a family picture so we can put faces and names together. I will have my camera at church this Sunday and 30th and will be taking a quick shot of you right after church. So if I didn’t catch you last week, make sure you see me after the service this week!

Women’s Ministry
*We had a wonderful first night of Boot Camp this past Monday with over 30 women showing up! It’s still not too late to join, just come by next Monday evening at 6:30 and join in!

* Women’s Retreat – Our retreat to Cedar Springs is coming up quickly! We have quite of few of you signed up already, which is awesome! If you’re on the fence about whether you should come or not… you should! We always have an amazing time! This fall, our topic is “Hardships, Healing, and Hope. If you would like to come please email me and let me know in the next week. The cost for this retreat is $115 per person. This includes lodging for two nights as well as five delicious meals. All I need now is names. Payment can be made as late as Nov. 1st. Our retreat dates are Nov.11-13. Once you have signed up, I will send you more details.

Men’s Ministry
* Men’s Breakfast’s will be starting up again in November. They meet every second Saturday morning of the month. The next breakfast is on Nov. 12th.

Prayer Ministry
*This an amazing opportunity to lift up our church in prayer. Life is busy and life can get challenging and we need God so much. If you would like to be part of this ministry, please contact the church at info@augustonchurch.com

Missions
We are having a Mission’s Sunday on Nov. 6th! This will be a great opportunity to get to know who are missionaries are and to catch up on how God is using them to further His kingdom.

Children’s Ministry

* Women’s Boot Camp begins Monday October 17th at ATES from 6:30pm-7:30pm. Please plan on coming early if you haven’t weighed in or done your measurements yet. It’s not too late to join, if you did not receive registration forms via email yesterday or did not attend the Orientation meeting last night and still want to join, email me and I will send you the forms.

What’s going on at ANC?

This is such an exciting time of year! So many new beginnings and a lot of opportunity to become involved at church and get to know new people.
Here are just a few things that are going on in the next month.
* Bruce and Anne Regier, our missionaries from China, will be at Dan and Judy Chapman’s tonight at 7:30. Everyone is welcome.
* Women’s Coffee Night at the Gourmet Gallery. Come out and catch up with the women at ANC Monday, September 19th at 7:00
* Care Groups will be starting up next week. If you are interested in being part of one, please contact Kevin Wiebe.
* Men’s Annual Bocce Tournament will be Sunday, September 25th. More details to follow.
* There will be a business meeting on Wednesday, October 5 at 7:00.
